Its been a very long time since my last update and I thought it would be proper to have one now.
I have survived this semester and I must say that it wasn't easy. I worked harder than I ever did and I even took distractions to a minimum, I stop logging onto maple and settled with passive games on facebook. I work harder on projects than I ever did before in my entire time at UB. Although I ended up doing most of the work due to team members who didn't really care, there were also those whom I can count on as well. I'm especially thankful to the wonderful team members from my MGM classes who despite being in their first year could rise to the occasion and together we achieved an A for our report and A- for our presentation. It was a pleasure to be able to work with you guys. I wish the same could be said for my other project members who despite being in their senior year produced work of such quality that I believe even a high school student can deliver. And so after striving hard for this whole semester, I must say that I'm quite pleased with the overall results. A little disappointed that an A unobtainable and I miss an A by 2 MCQ questions, but we have to learn to thankful with what with have. For that, I am grateful to the wonderful cast of lecturers who made learning this semester so much more enjoyable!

As for my Japanese lessons, I have completed my 2nd semester clearing the final exam with a score of 84%. Although it isn't as well as I hope to get but I must say that my Japanese has really improved tremendously since I first started. Currently, I already quite ok with my Hiragana and I can even remember some of the more commonly used Kanji by heart. Hopefully by the end of this semester I can do the same for my Katakana =)
あの時、私は ほんと に 愛してる。。。どうして いま 私たちは たにんあつかいに なりました。。。
And I still an avid S.H.E fan as always. Took a recent photo of my collection and I was actually quite surprised with the amount of stuff I had hoarded over the years.
Sad to say, by the time I decided to go for their concert, I couldn't get the tickets anymore. But in the end at least I still went for the autograph session. It was at Plaza Singapura and I spent a good 9 hours with Alex, Wei Rong, Ming Hong there and although it was exhausting, it was very fun! I even bought a lanyard xD
And I got to see my idol in person, Hebe!!
♥ My heart melted when she smiled at me as I shook her hand. Hebe forever! =D
And after all those long hours, we finally gotten our autographs! This year they signed on cards especially given out to us fans. To protect the autographs, all of us went to get ours laminated xD A very satisfied autograph session indeed!
As for games, I'm sticking to passive games at the moment. Games like Ghost Trapper, Mouse Hunt, Fish Wrangler and my most recent addiction, Cafe World! Last time I had dreams of opening my own Cafe before, and this game sort allow me to live my fantasy a little. The fun part of course is decorating your Cafe, I have made mine to resolved around sweets. Welcome to the Sweet Surrender! ^.^
Lastly, I shall end with this poem I read about recently. Its very nicely written and its something I'm all of us can relate to.
The Road Not Taken - Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
In life, there are always choices to make and have you ever wondered how life might be different if you took the other path back then? Its been more than half a year now and even now, sometimes, I will think back on how things might be different now should I choose to walk the other road. Alas, in life great journey, the path we walk are often irreversible and come with their own obstacles. And after choosing a path, we have no choice but to stick to it and face whatever that lies before us. Treasure the past but look to the future.
On one last ending note, tomorrow I shall be heading to Taipei with Charlene, Xavier and Aixia. Its a trip that I have long been anticipating and I hope that everything will goes smoothly for us. Shall enjoy myself as much as I can since when we get back, its off to my final semester of UB. Cya in a week! =D
